Maddy's One

Sunday, October 13, 2013

We've had so much fun over the past year capturing Maddy when she was brand new here and then again when she was 3 months old here so getting to see her again on her very first birthday was a pleasure and an honor.  It's truly incredible how much children grow in their first year, I can't recommend enough the ability to remember it all through beautiful portraits captured by ELLA portraits.  But to chat a bit about my time with Maddy, I have to tell you I had a blast running around with her at the Elmbank Reservation in Natick in the Garden for Children, my second time shooting in this location.  She JUST learned how to walk which meant plenty of falling down and getting back up again, all the while with a big beautiful smile on her face!  Thank you b-spired for creating the beautiful wooden laser cut #1, I mean, it's only once in your life you get to take an adorable picture like that!
Check out a few of my favorites below (it was really hard to choose!)

Marble Family

Thursday, October 10, 2013

I had the pleasure of capturing gorgeous family images for the Marble's and this beautiful family made it all too easy for me.  I knew I was in for a good time when their eldest daughter, Grace, met me when I pulled in the driveway and asked, "Are you Laura the photographer here to take our pictures?" and when I replied, "Why yes I am!" she proceeded with, "Well good, I've been waiting to meet you all morning, let me show you everything" and walked me around her yard and house pointing out every imaginably interesting thing a small little one would find to be so in this world.  It was at that point that I knew I was in for a good time!  I was initially there to capture 3 month images of their youngest daughter, Chloe, who was a sweet doll and so calm and enjoyable to be around.  We then moved outside to their backyard to capture some family images and I have to say, this was the most lifestyle-like images I have ever taken, think less posed and more in the moment.  This really pushed me creatively and stepping out of my comfort zone a bit was great because I truly love what I captured, check out a few of my favorites below!
Thank you J & J for inviting me into your home, it was a pleasure getting to know your lovely family!
