I met Madelyn back when she was fresh and new to this world and then again when she was 8 months old and such a sweetie pie and was so excited to capture her this time around as a rambunctious, loving, fun little lady at 20 months old.  We hung out at Smolak Farms on Labor Day Weekend and let her run & play & have fun while I did my best to keep up!  She did everything from pick plums to play with her dolly to sit & carry my mini chair all over the grove to picking flowers to playing a little field hockey, who knew you could accomplish so much in 45 minutes!

This little lady is the adorable new baby girl to one of my dear friends Betsey, and her husband Pat.  It was so amazing to be able to capture this beautiful time in their lives for so many reasons: One - they were celebrating their one year anniversary the day of the shoot, so special! Two - they just moved back to Maine from San Francisco so timing couldn't have been more perfect to capture these images AND meet their daughter! Three - anytime I get to be one of the first people to meet one of my best friends children has truly made this photography adventure a blessing and so worthwhile.

Miss Molly was just about the most perfect newborn, not only because she is so gosh darn cute, but because she slept the entire time which allowed me to capture the more tradition newborn images as well as giving me time to have some fun and capture a few more artistic images on her grandparents beautiful property.  It was such a wonderful session and this little lady is already getting so big I can't stand it but to me, she will always be this little cuddle bug :)

Lashes, fingers, headband, toes…swoon!

I was enjoying the last few weeks of my maternity leave in early May, loving on my baby boy, when I had the opportunity to meet sweet baby Caroline.  It was surreal to me because I was in the thick of seeing my little guy all day everyday who was appx 3 months old at the time, and then to see Caroline who was less than two weeks old brought me back to those early days with my son yet showed me just how far away from that special time we were.  So needless to say I was all bittersweet and nostalgic cuddling this sweet baby girl and talking to her lovely mom about being a mom so all in all, this was a wonderful session for me in so many ways!  But enough about me, let's talk about this darling girl for a second.  She has a loving older brother that we luckily captured a super fast shot of them together because for those of you who have a 22 month old, you know that getting their attention for any longer than 2 seconds is hard to come by!  And after that Caroline was an absolute doll and I had a wonderful time capturing this special time of her for her family.

My dear sweet friend welcomed her second daughter into the world in late October and I was so excited to meet her and take some photographs!  Jackie & Paolo had Ilanna, Vivienne's older sister, when they were still living in Brazil so it wasn't until she was a bit older and they moved to the US that I finally met her and have had the pleasure of taking family photographs of them as she's grown.  But to see Jackie with a newborn and being a Mom to a little tiny baby was beautiful to see.  I can't wait to see what a beautiful girl Vivienne grows to become and knowing I'll be able to capture that makes it even more special!  
PS:  don't you just LOVE her name?!   It was my choice on their list so I was so excited to hear they had chosen it!  It fits her too, she's a lovely, sweet Vivienne :)
