Myah Newborn

Thursday, June 26, 2014

Miss Myah's Mother (say that three times fast!) emailed me letting me know Myah was born 7 days prior and if we could schedule a newborn session and I immediately went into fast thinking mode because unbeknownst to most parents seeking newborn portraits, the best age to get sleepy, posed newborn portraits is when they are 7-14 days old.  That's because they are still in that deep sleep stage, naturally curling up softly and are quite flexible being posed and positioned so because of that knowledge and my personal experience having photographed over 15 newborns, I knew that we had to act FAST!  Luckily, we were both available a few days later and I joined Myah at her home with her parents and her two older brothers, the adorably sweet Quinn & Drew.  We got right to work and Myah was a sweetheart to work with, slept the majority of our 1-1 time and easily relaxed with her brothers as well as with her parents.
Thanking you for welcoming me into your home Daley family, I couldn't have had a more wonderful time if I tried and I can't wait to see Miss Myah continue to grow into a beautiful little girl, protected and adored by her handsome older brothers.  Until next time,
~Laura~

Miss Myah at the end wiiiiide awake to say goodbye :)

Bailey Newborn

Tuesday, June 10, 2014

So this session was a real pleasure for me because Kristen & John attended an alumni auction event at our mutual alma mater Stonehill College, where they bid on a photography session of their choice from us!  Kristen was pregnant at the time and both her and John agreed that a session capturing their newborn baby would be a great investment so luckily, they won the session, waited patiently for a few more months and then finally beautiful baby Bailey joined their family.  She was probably the sleepiest little one I've had the pleasure of working with in a long time which made posing and capturing the below images a breeze.

Thank you, Kristen & John, for inviting me into your home and allowing me the pleasure of photographing Bailey, I hope to see you again!
