Hughes Engagement

I started off my session with Jenni & Brad asking them if they had ever had a photo session together before and they said "No" and I walked them through what to expect and to just be casual and my style wasn't super posey just capturing them being together in the moment in the location, which by the way was Wells Beach in Maine at sunset, an absolute dream to shoot in so I was thrilled!  I'm pretty sure within the first 5 minutes, I stopped and asked them if they were sure they hadn't done this before because they were naturals and were seriously just two of the best looking people I've had the luxury of shooting, they truly made my job easy and fun that evening!  We took advantage of two different spots, a wardrobe change and shot until there was no light left.  They trekked through sand dunes, biting bugs and squishy mud but it was all worth it because their session holds so many beautiful images it was hard for me to even choose my favorites to share with you below.

Congratulations Jenni & Brad, I wish you all the best in your future lives together, thanks for choosing me to be a part of that journey!

this might've been where I asked them if they had ever done this before because they were crazy good at looking beautiful together in front of the camera!

Bennett Newborn

Thursday, June 16, 2016

Being able to capture images of my friends as they continue to grow their families has been one of the most precious things to come of my love & learned skill of photography.  You might remember the Monaco family from their latest session with me when I captured newborn images of Vivienne here and a little over a year and a half later they have welcomed the fifth member of the family, baby boy Bennett!  He was a dream to work with, slept nicely, quickly nursed and then let his little sisters hold him to capture some adorable sibling images and wrapping things up with the full family of five.  Congratulations once again Jackie & Paolo, so excited for another little boy joining our crew!

Estelle Newborn

Saturday, June 4, 2016

Sweet baby girl Estelle waited a little over a week past her due date to make her grand entrance into this world, I'm sure for Mom & Dad it felt like centuries but when she arrived and was safely home I was able to capture some lovely images of her.  My session was gifted to Mom & Dad from a mutual friend and quite honestly, such a sweet and thoughtful gift to give.  Being able to have memories of this time is priceless because it goes by in the blink of an eye, so to look back at how small and precious and perfect she was will be such a gift.  While sleep was not on our side during this session from Miss Estelle, I waited her out and when she finally caved for a mere 20 minutes I snapped away and captured her in all of her perfection!
Thank you Kelly & Mike for welcoming me into your home and spending your Sunday morning with me, it was an absolute pleasure and congratulations again!

Lashes, button nose, fingers and piggy toes..all the details!
And when you have 20 minutes, one set-up with many different angles helps to provide variety without too much disruption!

My Family - Beach Portraits

Saturday, March 26, 2016

As part of a Christmas gift to my parents, my sister and I bought tickets for us to head down to Florida in February to visit our grandfather, my Mom's Dad, who recently moved down there.  While there, we knew we wanted some updated family pictures, especially for my Mom & Dad with Colin, so we got up early one morning and headed to the beach to catch the sunrise and WOW!  I've got to tell you I am now officially obsessed with beach portraits at sunrise, I bet sunset is just as beautiful but my goodness, it's all I want to do now!  So anyone want to meet me early in the morning for beach portraits, I am in!  Check out some of the images I captured below and thanks to my sister for taking some of me with Colin, it's so hard to get in front of the camera when I'm the one always taking the picture but I'm so glad she's learning :)

Colin and his great-grandfather being so cute together!

Santos Family

Thursday, October 29, 2015

I met Madelyn back when she was fresh and new to this world and then again when she was 8 months old and such a sweetie pie and was so excited to capture her this time around as a rambunctious, loving, fun little lady at 20 months old.  We hung out at Smolak Farms on Labor Day Weekend and let her run & play & have fun while I did my best to keep up!  She did everything from pick plums to play with her dolly to sit & carry my mini chair all over the grove to picking flowers to playing a little field hockey, who knew you could accomplish so much in 45 minutes!
Check out some of favs from my time with the Santos family, thanks for having me again Colleen,  I always have the most fun!

Mommy & Daddy are the most fun!

I love Madelyn's face in this image so happy!
