We both developed an interest in photography around the same time but how we came to love the beauty and art of it are individually our own. And that's what makes our partnership work, we're uniquely ourselves but together we create beautiful work.

Hi! I'm Ellie or the "EL" of ELLA portraits! Photography to me is the art of preserving our happy moments.
My love of photography began when my husband and I decided to start a family of our own. I wanted to enjoy each moment, but as moments do, they pass too quickly. So, I decided to learn how to freeze them. Now I think of myself as a serial picture taker and happiness preserver. That's what I want to do for you. I want you to look back on these moments years from now, glad you preserved the happiness. I look forward to meeting you in Baltimore!

Hi there, I'm Laura or the "LA" of ELLA portraits, I'm who you'll meet in Boston. I have always loved the beauty of photography, the way a single photo can take you back to a moment that was meant to be cherished forever.
I have always had a desire to learn photography but my practical, Type A personality didn't leave much room for my creative side to grow. It wasn't until seeing the everyday moments one of my best friends (and professional photographer) was taking of her family and saying to myself, "I want to be able to do that one day" did I finally buy my first DSLR camera and I haven't looked back. Being able to learn the art and skill of photography and continuing to grow as a creator of beautiful imagery for you, my clients has been so fulfilling and enjoyable that I never want to stop. Now that I have a son of my own, I am so excited to use my skills to capture my own families memories while continuing to capture yours. I can't wait to meet you and your loved ones, see you soon!
